This week’s cold snap hit like a ton of bricks. We’re used to this kind of weather, mind you, but it usually doesn’t arrive until January.
Mother Nature hasn’t been good to us in north Big Horn County this fall. First, an early winter-like storm blasted the area in October and spelled doom for what was looking like a near record sugar beet crop. Then, as folks prayed for warm weather, it almost got too warm, causing beet piles to deteriorate faster than they ideally would.
