Flo Marie Lawson

Nov. 4, 1942 – March 6, 2023

Flo Marie Lawson passed away peacefully at New Horizons Care Center March 6, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was born Nov. 4, 1942, in Willows, California. She was delivered at home by her daddy. She spent her early life in the small northern California town of Willows.

In 1972 she met Chester Gilliam in California at a bowling center. In 1975 they moved to Spruce Pine, North Carolina, where they managed a bowling center. After following the oil field for several years, they settled in Cody in 1984. In 1987 they continued their love for the sport and bought the bowling center in Lovell, which they owned and operated until 2008.

Throughout her life Flo enjoyed bowling, crocheting, yard sales and second hand stores. Her favorite pastime was working in her yard, digging in the dirt, and she never met a dandelion she couldn’t pull.

Flo was preceded in death by her daddy, mother, three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by the love of her life, Chester Gilliam; children Norman (Deb) Eades of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Rick (Dawn) Eades of Lovell and Carrie Byrd of Lovell; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; five brothers; two sisters; and countless “adopted orphans.”

Cremation has taken place, and Flo will be laid to rest with her daddy, Ralph, in Willows at a later date.
