Ed Burton, 68, passed away March 9, 2023, in his home in Lovell.

Ed was born Feb. 7, 1955, in White Salmon, Washington, the youngest of five children born to Jesse and Darline Burton. 

The family moved to California when Ed was young, and he lived and went to school in Fallbrook, California. He met and married Gloria Bojorquez, and they had three children, Eddie, Genie and Jesse. They moved to Jacksonville, Florida. They were later divorced. Ed moved to Lovell in 2006 and lived here until he passed. 

Ed was liked by everyone he met; he enjoyed being around his friends. He loved motorcycles when he was young and even raced dirt bikes. He loved to fish and enjoyed living on the beach in Florida. After moving to Wyoming he enjoyed going for drives in the hills with his best friend, Kendall. 

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Darline Burton; sister Diane (Granvel) Conley; brothers Jesse, Wayne and Raymond; best friend and nephew Kendall Mickelson; and grandson Jesse James Burton.

He is survived by his daughter, Genie (Trolas) Hilton; sons Eddie (Nicki) Burton and Jesse (Christine) Burton; granddaughters Ariana Hilton, Kaylyn Hilton, Kairi Burton and Courtney Carter; grandsons Eddie Burton, Cameron Burton and Thomas Stokes; niece and caregiver Cheri Mickelson; nieces Christine Pendergast, Amanda Parkstone, Della Merrow and Jennifer Escarsega; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be a celebration of life Saturday, March 25, at 3 p.m. at the Lovell Senior Center.

Ed has been cremated and his ashes will be spread in Florida at a later date.
