Lovell’s Hunder family wins Christmas lighting contest

A complex display featuring flying reindeer in the trees, colorful, draped trees and candy canes has been judged the winner of the 2022 Lovell Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Lighting Contest.

Winning the top prize, as judged by members of the chamber’s board of directors, was the display created by Steven and Madison Hunder at 12 E. 8th Street in Lovell, the corner of 8th and Shoshone.

Coming in second was the large display at the Brent and Shelly Reasch home at 885 Nevada in Lovell featuring a variety of colorfully lit trees and a nativity scene.

Placing third was a classic display at 50 West 2nd South in Cowley created by Wayne and Joan Ostler, a classic home with lights lining a peaked roof and trees wrapped in lights, plus a snowman on the porch.

Earning honorable mention recognition (fourth place in voting) was the extensive display created by Jacob and Whitney Haslem at 40 East 7th South in Cowley with trees and bushes covered in lights.
