SGM Stanley J. Partridge US Army Ret.

Stan Partridge was born and raised in Cowley. His parents were Stanley Stott Partridge and Geniel Jacobson Partridge.

At the age of 19, he joined the U.S. Army and served for 25 years. He achieved the rank of Sergeant-Major (E-9). He retired in 1978, and he and his family moved back to Lovell.

Stan is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diann, and three adult children: Megan Partridge, Permilla Croft and Andrew Partridge. He had six grandchildren: Blake Heindl, Riley Heindl, Cassie Heindl, Kara Heindl, Catarina Croft and Eddie Croft. Stan is also survived by his oldest sister, Jane Harston, of California, sister Mary Yorgason of Lovell, brother Paul Partridge of Greybull and his youngest sister, Helen Seaman, of Arizona, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Stan served in the army as a cook and in the air artillery. He served four tours in Korea and one tour in Germany. After he retired from military service, he worked for NEPECO in Byron for another 33 years as a truck driver until he retired again at age 79.

He passed away peacefully at the ICU at Billings Clinic from complications of COPD, surrounded by his loving wife and children. Cremation has taken place. As per his request, no services are planned. He is happy in the Summerlands. Blessed be.
