Lovell Cheer wins state title

The Lovell High School cheerleaders are the top squad in the state. 

Competing last week in Casper, the Lovell cheerleading team topped the 2A Game Day competition in a field of eight competing schools. 

It was dead-close. Lovell topped the pack with a score of 76.650, while Big Piney claimed second with a score of 76.200 during the March 8 competition.

Lady Bulldogs send a message south with weekend sweep

Chalk a couple up for the North. The Lovell Lady Bulldogs hosted a pair of foes from the 3A Southwest over the weekend and came away with two wins and giving them a bit of a preview for the upcoming regional tournament.

Lovell topped Pinedale 32-27 in a defensive battle Friday, then beat a tough Lander squad Saturday afternoon, 52-40.

Lady Grizz conquer Lady Chiefs in road thriller after heartbreak at home

After a difficult loss at home against the Tongue River Eagles, the Lady Grizz turned around and accomplished their greatest feat of the season, winning against the Lady Chiefs in Ethete. 

The weekend saw the Lady Grizz face off against the third-ranked 2A team in the state in Tongue River and then take on the top-ranked team in the State, Wyoming Indian.

Lindsay signs with Wyoming for track and field

A Lovell High School thrower supreme is taking his talents to the University of Wyoming. Senior Quinn Lindsay signed his letter of intent to compete with the UW track and field team during a signing ceremony Monday evening at LHS.
