Firefighters respond to vehicle on fire near causeway

A fisherman was caught off guard when his 2008 Chevy Tahoe caught fire while he was fishing from the Kane boat ramp just off U.S. 14A east of Lovell.
The vehicle owned by Moises Leal of Lovell was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived but was quickly extinguished.
“When a vehicle is burned up that bad you can’t tell what caused it,” said Lovell Assistant Fire Chief Bob Mangus.
The vehicle was unoccupied, and there were no injuries.
