Gary Pangburn

Gary Pangburn grew up in Frannie, Wyo., attended and graduated from Deaver (Wyo.) High School in 1962.

Gary also attended Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyo., and graduated with a B.A. from Bethel College in Minneapolis, Minn.

He then taught school in Minnesota and from there was drafted into the Army to serve several years in Vietnam.

Gary, after serving in the military, attended the University of Wyoming to complete a master's degree in educational foundations and two years toward a doctorate degree.

In 1970, Gary and Linda moved to Greybull, Wyo., where Gary taught fifth and sixth graders at Greybull Public Schools and later retired to play his favorite sport, golf, at Midway Golf Course.

For a few years, Gary resided at a nursing home in Sheridan, Wyo., and later was transferred to the Englewood Post Acute Nursing Home in Englewood, Colo.  He resided there until being transferred to the Porter Hospital in Englewood, Colo., where the family was notified Gary had passed away at 11 p.m. on Oct. 29, 2020.

Cremation has been completed and a memorial/burial will be completed at a later date.

Major accomplishments in Gary's life were to complete and publish two books: "Growing Up with Hellfire and Brimstone" and "Deism Versus Superstition."
