The always popular Lovell Farmers Market will be held for the first time this summer on Friday.

The Farmers Market will be held every Friday at Armory Park from 4:30 to 6 p.m. through September 26.

This week’s vendors include garden vegetables, canned vegetables, baked goods, Amish baked goods, Italian sodas, Venezuelan empanadas, crocheted items, 3-D printer toys, tamales, mushrooms, pita bread, pita chips and homemade hummus. Corn should be available in a couple of weeks.

Door prizes will be offered.

The first Lovell Farmers Market run by the current leadership, Sharron and Duane Nicholls, was held August 7, 2015.

Previously, the market was organized by Lovell Inc. director Sue Taylor.

“The market has become a weekly community gathering place,” Sharron Nicholls said. “Duane and I enjoy putting it together and still enjoy seeing old friends and making new ones.

“We have had the market every year with the exception of 2020 because of COVID.”

For more information, call Nicholls at 832–465–7428.
