Police report: Aggressive dog requires evasive maneuver

The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of August 26 – September 1:

August 27: A dog was on the loose at West 3rd Street and Kansas Ave. A teenage male had to jump into the back of the truck box because the dog was on the run and seemed aggressive. No one was hurt, and the dog was returned home.

Police responded to a possible shoplifter at the Family Dollar store on East Main Street. A woman had stolen $18.65 worth of items. She was cited and sent to circuit court.

August 28: Police are currently investigating stolen money that was reported by a man on West 7th Street. He reported that he had cash stolen from his house.

Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Dept. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
