Police Report: An epidemic of fights in Lovell
The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of November 6 to November 12:
November 6: 3:30 p.m. - An older man driving a black Nisan was reported as appearing confused in the Red Apple Supermarket. Officers made contact, and the man said he was fine. He stated he had been confused because he was trying to communicate with his wife on the phone and pressed the wrong button.
November 7: 1:24 p.m. - A noise complaint was reported on E. 3rd St. for blaring music. Officers responded and found an individual cleaning his yard and listening to music on the vehicle stereo. The individual turned down the music and said they were done with yardwork for the night.
November 8: 7:09 a.m. - A hissing noise from a gas line was reported on Hwy 310/ RD 9. The fire department was dispatched.
November 9: 11:30 a.m. - A resident reported cars speeding up to 60 mph on Road 12. Extra patrols were dispatched and found there were cars speeding during the afternoon.
November 10: 4:03 p.m. - Suspicious activity on Lincoln Ave. of multiple people coming and going from residences is currently under investigation.
5:24 p.m. - A 2005 Chevy Avalanche crashed into a 2012 Chevy Capri due to an improper lane change. There were no injuries or road blockage, and a citation was issued.
11:08 p.m. - A fight occurred at the Shoshone Bar & Grill. Two parties had a verbal argument out back and got into a fist fight. The victim declined to press charges.
November 11: 12:15 a.m. - A fight was reported in Armory Park. The same parties from the park reconvened, but it was determined they were not fighting. Two other individuals appeared to have a verbal argument.
1:41 p.m. - A yelling argument was reported at Rose City West Apartments between a mother and daughter. A criminal trespass order was provided to trespass one of the parties from the house.
