Spanier, Sanders summer interns at Lovell Chronicle

Two incoming high school seniors are working as summer interns at the Lovell Chronicle. Ella Spanier and Haley Sanders are working as reporters and photographers at the paper.

“I’m very excited for the opportunity to work here this summer,” Spanier said. “I’m excited for the opportunities to work around the town.”

Spanier is from Minnesota but moved to Lovell before her freshman year. Since moving, she has immersed herself in the Bulldog spirit, joining the dance and cheer teams. She is also an active member of school organizations such as NHS, Student Council and Show Choir, with leadership roles in all of those. Outside of school, Spanier enjoys watching movies, reading books and spending time with her friends.

Her post-high school plans as of now consist of attending Northwest College in Powell for nursing and continuing on to BYU-Idaho in Rexburg to further her nursing degree.

Sanders is also involved in many aspects of the school and community. She has been a member of the cheer team since her sophomore year and is also involved in NHS, Student Council, FCCLA and multiple music classes at school. When she’s not at school, Sanders enjoys reading, playing guitar and making music with her friends.

After graduating high school, Sanders hopes to further her education at BYU in Provo.

After BYU, she plans to continue on to Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon to get her optometry degree.

“I’ve written a few articles for the Chronicle throughout the year whenever I had the time,” Sanders said. “I’m looking forward to being able to take time to learn more about writing.”

Through their involvement and experience, Spanier and Sanders hope to bring their insight and information to the readers of the Lovell Chronicle, and they look forward to being more involved in the community.
