Wild Horse presentation enjoyed at Lovell library
Pryor Mountain Wild Mustang Center director Nancy Cerroni was invited to give two informative presentations to young Lovell Library attendees this month. As an educator of many years and one of the most knowledgeable people in the Lovell area about the wild mustangs, Cerroni said she was happy to make the presentation to local youth.
Cerroni spoke on June 4 to kindergarten through third grade youth and again on June 13 to youth grades fourth through eighth grade. With the assistance of Amanda Benion, who helped Cerroni with the younger group, Cerroni shared her enthusiasm for the horses through her knowledge and photos.
Cerroni said only a few of the children had actually been out on the range, which is located just outside of Lovell. She said she wanted them to know that “we are in mustang country, and it’s right out our back door.”
She said she invited the children to create a travel poster based on what they learned at the event.
“It was a great experience to interact with the children from the area,” said Cerroni. “It was a pleasure to teach again.”
More information about the wild horses is available at the Pryor Mountain Wild Mustang Center located at 1106 Road 12, 1.3 miles east of Lovell.
