Alma K. Cardinal

It is with heavy hearts that we honor the life of Alma K. Cardinal, 92, who passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, in Mahtomedi, Minnesota.
Born on January 2, 1932, in Lovell, Alma brought light and love to everyone she knew.
She grew up on a farm in Wyoming, where she developed a lifelong love of horses and a deep connection to nature.
She met her husband, Donald, in high school, and they built a life together after his return from the Korean War. Alma dedicated herself to raising their four children and was known for her warm hospitality, sharp wit and passion for bridge.
An active member of her community, Alma led 4-H projects, teaching skills like gardening and sewing. Even in her later years, she bowled regularly and remained vibrant and full of life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Katie Korell, and husband Donald F. Cardinal.
Alma is survived by her sister, Evelyn Bowers; children Linda Carter, Carla Gennaro, Ralph Cardinal and Caryn Young; son-in-law Joe Gennaro; daughter-in-law Kellie Cardinal; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will take place at Mount Hope Lutheran Church, 2300 Hickory in Casper, on January 18, at 10 a.m., with a reception following in the church.
