Bighorn Canyon guided kayak program dates announced
The Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area is again offering guided kayak programs on Big Horn Lake.
Programs will be held on the south district of the lake near Lovell. The programs cover proper paddling techniques, self-recovery of a capsized kayak, general safety precautions and fun facts about Bighorn Canyon NRA, presented by park rangers.
These excursions will be available free of charge, and all required equipment will be provided. Space will be limited to the first 10 participants on a first come, first served basis. Up to five participants with their own equipment are welcome to join for a total of 15 people. All participants must pre-register by phone with Bighorn Canyon NRA.
To register, call the Bighorn Canyon NRA Visitor Center at 307-548-5406.
All trips are subject to cancellation at the guide’s discretion. Registered participants will be informed in the event of a cancellation. If a participant must cancel their reservation, please do so as soon as possible to allow the park time to fill the vacancy as the park always has a waiting list for kayak programs.
