Carl William “Bill” Fink

Carl William “Bill” Fink

Oct. 20, 1935 – Jan. 7, 2021

Carl William “Bill” Fink died January 7, 2021, at his residence in Herriman, Utah. He was 85.

Bill was the third child born to German-Russian immigrant parents Carl B. Fink Jr. and Sophie (Wagner) Fink on October 20, 1935, in Lovell.

He was raised in Lovell and married his high school sweetheart, Maureen Langolf, on January 24, 1953. The couple
had three daughters, Brenda Kay, Sheree Lee and Denise Marie.

Bill began a professional career in the oil business, driving oil trucks in Wyoming and Colorado. He eventually settled in an office job with Husky
Oil in Cody. His career would take the family to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where the family lived for about 11 years.

He was then transferred to Denver and eventually began working for Sinclair Oil, causing him and Maureen to settle and spend the rest of their lives in the Salt Lake City area.

Bill was a devoted family man, loving his wife, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family and especially being near and playing with young children. Bill loved children. The family tried to be together as much as possible during the holidays and would often enjoy spending time
with extended family, skiing, playing games and making memories.

The importance of family was taught early as during the years living in Canada the family would travel back to Lovell
each year to spend time with his and Maureen’s extended families.

Bill was also a lifetime avid fisherman, a hobby he enjoyed with his
parents when he was young. And he loved the Denver Broncos.

Bill was a kind, sweet, generous, truly good
person and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by Maureen and later wife Barbara Fink.

He is survived by his three daughters, Brenda (Richard) Rothstein,
Sheree (Mark) Sandell and Denise (Ron) Lee, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and sister
Edna Tippetts.

An open house and visitation will be held January 16, 2021, at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 S. 2200 West, Riverton, Utah. The interment of the body will be in Centennial, Colo.
