Carol Delores (Edgar) Layne

Carol Delores Edgar Layne, 80, died June 21, 2024, at St. Vincent ICU in Billings.
She was born at her grandmother Cunningham’s house in Powell on April 10, 1944, to Doris Eileen Edgar and Joseph Owen Edgar. She was the oldest of two children.
Carol married Wiley Layne in 1963. They lived in Lovell, where they owned the Scoop Drive In.  
She loved animals and house plants. She cared for many animals over the years on their property east of Lovell and enjoyed her collection of various plants. She also enjoyed attending church and Bible study groups.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Joe Layne, husband, parents and brother-in-law Paul Sironen.
Carol is survived by her sister, Sue Sironen, of Cody, niece Stephanie Valentine and great-nephew and great-niece Riley and Kyla of Laurel, Montana.
Services will be held Friday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church in Powell. A meal will follow. Interment will be at the Lovell Cemetery at 1 p.m.
