Charles ‘Chuck’ Edward Fletcher Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Edward Fletcher Jr. died December 15, 2023.
Chuck was born on August 4, 1946, to Fannie Pearl Ferrell and Charles Edward Fletcher Sr. in Tolu, Kentucky. Born into a family of five, Chuck was the second to the oldest child.
In 1967, he met the love of his life, his sweetheart, Betty Lou Johns, of Powell. They went on to marry after having met at Fort Lewis, where Betty worked and he was stationed in the army in Steilacoom, Washington, on July 15, 1967. They were married for 56 years.
After his time served in Vietnam, he returned back to his sweetheart. They then moved to Deaver and raised their two children, Michael Charles and Robin Clair.
Chuck worked for Big Horn County, grading roads for 37 years. He took great pride in his work.
Later in life Chuck was blessed with three granddaughters, who he adored. You would always find Chuck cheering on his granddaughters at sporting events, dance recitals and anything else they decided to enter into.
His greatest passion in life was his family. He loved playing with his great-grandchildren, spending time outside working in his yard and garden, fishing and camping.
Chuck will be always be remembered for his genuine heart, his good sense of humor and his charming smile.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie, father Charles and sister Linda Edwards.
He is survived by his sweetheart, Betty Johns Fletcher; son Michael Fletcher; daughter Robin (Keith) Hinegardner; granddaughters Chelsey (Scotty) Leonhardt, Ree’Dawn “Buggy” (Justin) Harris and Malarie “My buddy” Hinegardner; great-grandchildren Addyson and Greyson Leonhardt and Justin Waayne Harris; brothers Carl (Martha) Ferrell, Jerry Fletcher, and Rickie Fletcher; nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
Out of respect for Chuck’s request there will be no service held. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
