Churches conduct special Christmas services

North Big Horn County churches will hold a variety of special Christmas services this weekend to honor the birth of the Christ Child.
There will be four evening Christmas Eve services at area churches on Sunday, Dec. 24, and two churches will hold Christmas Day services.
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church will hold regular Mass Sunday at 11 a.m. celebrating the fourth Sunday of Advent, followed by a Christmas Eve Mass at 6 p.m. St. Joseph’s will also hold a Christmas Day Mass Monday at 8:30 a.m.
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greybull will hold Mass Sunday at 4 p.m. and a Christmas Day Mass Monday at 10:30 a.m.
St. John’s Lutheran Church will hold regular Bible study Sunday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Christmas Divine Service at 10:30 a.m. The church will hold a Christmas Eve children’s program Sunday at 6:30 p.m. featuring lessons and carols, presented by the After School Academy.
St. John’s will hold a Christmas Day Divine Service Monday at 9:30 a.m.
The Lovell United Methodist Church will join with the Deaver United Methodist Church for Sunday service at 9 a.m. in Lovell, and the Powell United Methodist Church will join with Union Presbyterian for a 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at the Union building.
A Christmas Eve candlelight service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Lovell UMC and 7 p.m. at Powell UMC.
Services on Sunday, Dec. 31, will be held at the New Horizons Care Center at 9 a.m. and Powell UMC at 11 a.m.
The Water of Life Church in Cowley will hold a Christmas Eve service Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Rocky Mountain High School and a candlelight service with a fire at the new church property in Cowley at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Bible Church in Lovell will hold a regular service this Sunday at 9 a.m. featuring special music: an instrumental duet by Tyler and Sadie Ennis and a vocal solo “Do You Hear What I Hear?” by Bonita Bazzoli.
The Lovell Assembly of God Church will hold regular Sunday service December 24 at 10:50 a.m. preceded by a church breakfast at 9:30 a.m.
The Church of God will hold a regular service from 1 to 3 p.m. this Sunday at the Assembly of God Church.
The various wards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold Sunday sacrament services Sunday, Dec. 24, as follows: Lovell First Ward at 9 a.m. in the West Chapel, Lovell Second at 9 a.m. in the East Chapel, Lovell Third at 11:30 a.m. in the East Chapel, Lovell Fourth at 11:30 a.m. in the West Chapel, Lovell Fifth at 9 a.m. in Byron, Cowley First Ward at 9 a.m., Cowley Second at 10:30 a.m. and the Byron Ward at 10:30 a.m.
