Commodities distribution
A USDA Commodities distribution is scheduled for Thursday, April 17, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Residents of Big Horn County may pick up commodities at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 520 Montana Ave., Lovell.
Volunteers will be distributing a variety of dried, fresh and canned foods.
Commodities distribution is income based. The 2025 gross income eligibility guidelines are as follows. A single individual is eligible to receive commodities with up to $2,413 of monthly income, $28,953 annual income; a couple may have up to $3,261 of monthly income, $39,128 annual income; and for three persons the maximum is $4,109 of monthly income, $49,303 annual income. For each additional qualifying person in the household the maximum income increases by $848 of monthly income, $10,175 annual income.
St. John’s Lutheran Church is a Partner of the Food Bank of Wyoming. The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is available to all eligible people regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or handicap within the quantities of USDA commodities available.
