Cowley Riding Club hosts successful Pioneer Day Rodeo
The Cowley Pioneer Day Rodeo produced strong competition and impressive times and scores across multiple events Saturday at the Cowley Rodeo Grounds.
Here are the times and scores for the events, as reported by the Cowley Riding Club:
In Bareback Riding, William Barnet claimed first place with a score of 72 with Carlos Rosa second with a 63.
In Bull Riding, Cjay Firnekas secured the top spot with a score of 70.
The Ranch Bronc event was Reid Fiechtner taking first place with a score of 69. Placing second was Teddy Ball with 64 points, and third was Blevins Little, scoring 61.
In Saddle Bronc, Ryan Nunn led with a score of 84, followed by Clint Linderfeld with a 75.
Steer Riding was won by Wyatt Blank with a 77 score, and Lincoln Shepperson placed second with a score of 73.
In the Jr. Bulls category, Daxton Hudson took first with a 78, while Rio Luger placed second with 71 points.
For Calf Roping, EJ Panetta had the fastest time at 8.78 seconds. Camilo Rios came in second at 9.8, followed by Casey Jones in third with 11.93 seconds.
Lady Barrels was a competitive event. Della Epler took first with a time of 17.764, Tammy Pollan came in second at 18.177 and Heather Daley followed closely in 18.243. Rounding out the top four was Virginia Lohr at 18.774.
In Lady Breakaway, Kaycee Neisius won with a time of 3.06 seconds. Deblin Cole followed in second at 5.7 seconds, and Vickie MacCarty placed third in 5.85 seconds.
Mixed Roping was led by Calli Nelson and Tate Edeler with a time of 8.21 seconds. Lacee Good and Nate Rogers came in second at 8.7 seconds. In third were Lacee Good and Casey Jones in 13.22 seconds. Rounding out the event was the duo of Cherain Richmond and Casey Good at 16.5 seconds.
Team Roping winners were Casey Good and Matt Paumer with a time of 7.3 seconds. Pablo Good and Casey Jones followed in 8.2 seconds, and Canyon Egger and Austin Bennett came in third at 8.6. In fourth were Calli Nelson and Tate Edeler with a time of 12.15.
In the Youth Barrel event, Gwenny Gauger placed first with a time of 18.387. Taylor Sweet took second in 18.400, and Cassidy Hahn and Addy Swank placed third and fourth with times of 18.862 and 18.960 respectively.
Youth Breakaway saw Joe Panetta take first with a time of 3.65 seconds, and Tell Edeler came in second at 4.5 seconds.
