Cruise night planned for Lovell on August 28
Get your cars washed and ready for Cruise Night on Friday, Aug. 28.
Everyone is invited to participate whether by watching the cruise or driving or riding in the cruise. While cruising has always been popular, a new generation merged with an older generation in 2020. This was a fun way to see many in the community while remaining socially distant to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
The upcoming cruise is one of the last hurrahs before school, sports and the end of summer. Organizer Les Files hopes this cruise will inspire those interested to get their winter projects underway so more cars will participate in the spring.
All are welcome to attend monthly meetings of C.A.R.S at Big Horn Federal Bank on the last Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. The club has had a successful year with 48 entries at the car show in Lovell, and 19 entries at the Byron car show.
Files does anticipate having to charge for entries in the future due to rising costs of trophies and the like, however, he states it will be a nominal amount. The club does anticipate having some cars parked at Big Horn Federal during the cruise for the public to take a closer look at no cost.
The cruise will begin at 6 p.m. in Lovell and will continue until dark. As usual, the location will be Main Street. For more information, contact Les Files at 307-272-9354 or find the group on Facebook at CARSStreetMachines.
