Dan Laffin announces his retirement as Chief of Police

Lovell Police Chief Dan Laffin publicly announced his retirement on Tuesday.
“We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the tremendous efforts and dedication that Chief Laffin brought to our community. We wish him all the best in his retirement,” mayor Tom Newman said in a press release.
Police Patrol Sergeant Roger Haney has been appointed as interim Chief of Police by the mayor, until Laffin’s formal retirement at the end of January, with the appointment to be approved by the town council at a special meeting Thursday.
