Emma Louise Olson Davis, 85, born on August 16, 1936, in Mohall, North Dakota, died November 23, 2021, in Billings. 

She was raised in Havre, Montana, and Portland, Oregon, and graduated from Havre High School in 1955.

Emma was baptized on July 15, 1939, at Coulee Lutheran Church in Coulee, North Dakota. Her baptism verse was John 3:5: “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” She was confirmed May 27, 1951, at First Lutheran Church in Havre. Her confirmation verse was John 3:16.

Emma was married on July 2, 1955, in Havre to Clarence Davis. Clarence died on May 8, 2017, in Lovell. They were married for 61 years.

Emma really loved her life and friends in Lovell. She enjoyed walking, shopping, cleaning and decorating her home, especially for Christmas. Her faith and church were very important to her.

Emma worked for Valley Motor Supply and CARQUEST Auto Parts for more than 30 years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Arthur Olson of Havre; her husband, Clarence Davis; brothers Marlan Olson of Malta, Montana, and Gary Olson and Larry Olson of Havre; brother-in-law Dennis Peterson; sisters-in-law Betty Olson and Donna Olson; and grandson Nick Larson.

Emma is survived by her sisters, Margelaine Matzki of Havre and Beverly Peterson of Billings; son Donald Davis of Hurricane, Utah; daughter Debra (Mark) Larson of Glencoe, Minnesota; grandchildren Tyler (Sherry) Sonsalla, Melissa (Jeremy Atkins) Sonsalla, Kacie (Eric Small) Larson, Sam (Tannica) Larson and Amanda Larson; and great-grandchildren Emma and Cole Sonsalla, Booker and Jubilee Atkins, Nils and Luella Small, Olivia and Levi Larson and Milo Larson.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lovell. Viewing/visitation was held one hour prior to services at the church. Interment was in the Lovell Cemetery.
