Esther Marie Giacomini

Esther Marie Giacomini died November 11, 2021. 

She was born July 13, 1920, to John and Hazel Frese in Haxtun, Colorado. The family moved to Buckingham, Colorado, where they farmed and then Crook, where she attended school, graduating in 1934.

In 1938, Esther married Jerry Pace, with whom she had three children, James, John and Laura. They moved a lot during their marriage, living in Chapel and Oshkosh, Nebraska, and Colorado Springs, Boulder and Sterling, Colorado. 

She divorced Jerry and later married Marion Applegate. They lived in Sterling for several years until their divorce. In her later years, she married Clarence Giacomini, who lived on a farm north of Sterling.

During her lifetime Esther worked several jobs, including a law firm in Colorado Springs, dentist and doctor offices, the hospital and retail stores and ended working at Great Western Sugar factory in Sterling.

She was affiliated with the Berea Fundamental Church in Sterling. During this time, she traveled as a missionary, building churches and personages in numerous locations, including Haiti, Alaska, New Mexico, Indiana, Kentucky and an Indian reservation in South Dakota. 

A few years after Clarence died, she moved to Sacramento, California, to live near her daughter and grandchildren, making several visits to her sons in Wyoming during the summer. In 2016 she moved to live with son John in Lovell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, a sister, grandsons and niece Norma. 

She is survived by her children and their spouses, James (Martha), John, and Laura (Tony); niece Martha (Darold); stepfamily Stephanie, Michael, John and Patrick Giacomini; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Her interment will be in the Haxtun, Colorado, cemetery.
