Former Cowley resident spies restaurant biplane

I am Neil Simmons from Cowley. I just received my May 30th edition of the Lovell Chronicle. I have to report that I saw the Hatz biplane fly over my house a couple of weeks ago.

I live in Katy, Texas, about four miles west of the West Houston airport. I am about two miles north of I-10. I am aware of the planes that fly over my house. 

When I heard this one, it had a unique sound. I assumed it was a home-built plane, but when I could determine it was a biplane I knew it was special. We have biplanes at the airport but none this small.

When I read the article in the Chronicle it gave me a thrill to think that I saw the plane in flight. I was also pleased to discover it was headed for the Cowley airport.
