Goat Roping for local ag scholarships this weekend

Farm Bureau Federation is hosting a goat roping competition Saturday, Dec. 27, at Big Horn County Fairgrounds in Basin. 

Check in is at 10 a.m. with roping from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a ribbon pull for ages zero to 6, a kids’ division for ages 6 to 12 and an adult division for 12-plus. Cost to enter is $5 per participant. Proceeds will go toward scholarships for local ag students. 

Burgers, hot dogs and hot cocoa will also be available to purchase, benefitting the scholarship fund.
