Hal Kirk Price passed away from this life Sept. 8, 2023, in Lovell. He was 75 years of age. 

Hal was born Feb. 8, 1948, in Red Lodge, Montana, the son of Roy and Ellen Price. 

He was married to Sandra Baird Price for 55 years. They have five children, 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren (#14 on the way). Their children are Kirk Price, Jeff Price, Mike Price, Jill Hitz and Michelle Banks.

Hal grew up in Lovell. The son of a rancher, he spent many seasons driving cattle in Dryhead. He had very fond memories of that area and the people he spent time with. 

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Hal was currently serving as elder’s quorum president of his ward and had served in many other capacities, including clerk, bishopric, high priest group leadership and Sunday school teacher. 

Hal recently found a new love in life as a substitute teacher. He truly loved being in the schools and with the students. 

Hal loved being outdoors and on the mountains, especially the Big Horns and Pryors. He loved riding in his side-by-side and exploring the trails and mountains, whether by himself or with his family and friends. 

Hal was very gifted with automotive repairs and ran a shop for many years. He loved reading and loved studying the gospel of Jesus Christ. Being a teacher was a true love.

Hal was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ellen Price, brothers Ray and Ron Price and his beloved wife, Sandi.

Hal is survived by his children, Kirk (Holly) Price, Jeff Price, Mike (April) Price, Jill (Lynn) Hitz and Michelle (Dave) Banks; grandchildren Brandon (Jessica) Price, Brittany (Cody) Washburn, Riley (Harmony) Price, Mallory Price, Cody (Mary) Price, Caylee (Ryan) Archuleta, Breya (Phil) Choler, Jacob Price, Kendra Price, Ethan Price, Kaleb (Kayla) Hitz, Logan Hitz, Zane Hitz, Colter Hitz, Dalton (Alexa) Banks, Travis (Karlie) Banks, Scott Banks, Tyler Banks and Kasen Banks; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings Chris (Kathy) Price and Brent (Nancy) Price.

Services were Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. in the Lovell LDS Stake Center. He was buried at the Lovell Cemetery.
