Hillside Home Market opens in Lovell
The retail shopping experience in downtown Lovell received another boost this week in the form of a new consignment market at Hillside Floral.
Hillside Home Market opened Monday and offers a variety of products from local vendors, owner Shelley Hill said.
Contributors include:
• Heart Mountain Candle Company of Cody, offering a variety of candles and skin care products;
• Alchemist Of Stones, based in Lovell, selling a variety of rocks and stones such as worry stones, gems, fossils, trinkets and cut and sculpted rocks – “kind of a neat thing,” Hill said.
• Sweet Confections baked goods including bread, banana bread, candy, fudge, chocolates and more;
• Farm fresh eggs; and
• Wikkid Ranch Designs and Homestead jams, jellies, homeopathic medicine and tinctures.
Hillside Home Market also offers used books, and more vendors are coming in, including a company making T-shirts and customized embroidered items.
“It’ll be great,” she said.
The Hill family first opened Hillside Market at the Powell flower shop on January 15 after Jeff and Shelley Hill opened Hillside Floral in Powell in September of 2021, and Hill reminded shoppers that the Lovell store also features the Good Cup coffee bar.
“We really want people to come in and sit down and enjoy conversation with their friends,” Shelley Hill said. “We’re thinking of adding baked goods (at the Good Cup) and would love to get ideas on what kind of baked goods to offer.”
Daughter Kenzie Hill is the store manager and head designer in Lovell and attended a barista academy for the Good Cup with her father last fall.
Shelley said she wants to support local people and products at Hillside Home Market, noting, “I really want to fill our store with local products, not just food but different vendors, supporting local folks rather than ordering from out of state. It’s been great in Powell, and we’re hoping Lovell will be the same.”
Those interested in becoming a vendor may call 548-7101. Hillside Floral is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
