Jayden Matthew Lewis

March 8, 2004 – Nov. 2, 2023
Jayden Matthew Lewis, our loving and fiercely brave warrior, returned home to Heaven on November 2, 2023, surrounded by his adoring family in New Braunfels, Texas.
Jayden was born on March 8, 2004, in Powell and spent his life living every moment to its fullest potential. As an avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, jet skiing and anything else that kept him outside.
He was a shining example of kindness and playfulness to his three little sisters, and he loved God, his family and his friends. Jayden was passionate about sports, especially football, and he loved to attend and watch the University of Wyoming games.
In 2019, at the age of 14, Jayden was faced with his biggest battle: osteosarcoma. Despite overwhelmingly dismal odds, Jayden fought with strength and perseverance for five grueling years. No matter the setbacks, Jayden never complained. He showed us how to truly appreciate the one life we are all given, and he fought fiercely to extend his own life. Because of his determination, Jayden was able to spend extra time making memories with his family and friends and building loving relationships with his little sisters. His legacy of perseverance and courage will continue to inspire the many people who were blessed to know him.
Jayden is survived by his proud parents, mother Jessica (Josh) Bourgeois and father Matthew (Sarah) Lewis; younger sisters Piper, 9, Avery, 5, and Lakin, 5; grandparents Scott and Janice Hecht and Nick and Georgette Lewis; his great-grandma Maxine Wambeke; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends, who loved him dearly.
Services to honor and remember Jayden’s life will be held Monday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. at the Lovell Community Center located at 1925 U.S. Highway 310. He will then be laid to rest at Lovell Cemetery located at 1123 Lane 13.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to MIB Agents at www.mibagents.org to help fund research to find a cure for osteosarcoma.
