Join the movement, serve in your community
You are invited to participate in Lovell Day of Service on Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20, from 9 a.m. to noon. This is in conjunction with the Global Youth Service Day, Great American CleanUp and Earth Day. Bring your family, friends, neighbors, club, team, faith organization or even your prom date to enjoy time building friendships and helping with needed service in our community.
Both inside and outside projects have been organized with a project leader at each location to assist you in knowing what needs done.
Friday, April 19
1. Lovell Public Library - Seeking volunteers to prepare children’s craft kits, indoor spring cleaning and cleaning up their yard outside.
2. Lovell Senior Citizen Center - Volunteers can tie on quilts, wash windows, vacuum out the delivery vans and sweep the garage the vans are stored in. All equipment and supplies will be provided.
3. United Methodist Church - Helpers needed to dust and spruce up the parish hall as well as pick up trash outside along the hedge and around the building.
4. NBHH - Seeking volunteers to wash the exterior of the windows at the New Horizons Care Center as well as raking leaves and sprucing up outside. Window washing supplies will be provided. Please bring your own rake and gloves.
5. Lovell-Kane Area Museum - Raking and bagging leaves around the museum, with other cleanup possible at the neighbor’s house. Bring your own rake, gloves and water.
6. Hyart Theatre - Hosting a morning of wiping down auditorium seats and cleaning the old seat numbers off the armrests. Bring a gallon bucket and a rag. Teenagers and adults preferred.
7. Foster Gulch Golf Course - Seeking golfers or anyone else to help get the golf course spruced up for the summer season. Bring a rake, gloves and water.
Saturday, April 20
1. Rose City West - Seeking volunteers to wash the exterior of the windows for all of their residents and clean up around the complex. Window cleaning supplies will be provided. Please bring a rake, gloves and water.
2. Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area Visitor Center - Needs volunteers to rake leaves, cutting old flowers and pulling weeds in the flower beds. Bring your own rake, gloves and water.
3. Horseshoe Bend - Friends of the Lake needed to rake leaves, pick up branches and clean up after the wild mustangs that roam the area. Bring a rake and/or shovel, gloves and water.
4. Sand Draw Cemetery - Volunteers needed to rake leaves and clean up around headstones and walkways. Bring your own rake, clippers, gloves and water.

Citizens of any age are invited to come and enjoy time serving in our community. Any amount of time is appreciated. Many hands make work light. Please bring your personal water, gloves and rakes if you have them. All other supplies will be provided.
