Julie Ann Camarena
Jan. 7, 1959 – Aug. 2, 2024
Julie Ann Camarena, 65, entered eternal rest at her home on August 2, 2024, in Lovell.
Julie was born January 7, 1959, to Alona and Henry Boyles of Blue Grass, Iowa. She has been a proud resident of Lovell for 12 years, where she met and married her husband, Art Camarena.
Julie spent many years enjoying line dancing and riding horses, but her true happiness came from gardening, canning and spending time with her family. Her daughters’ and grandkids’ favorite memory of Julie was making Christmas cookies and candies together for many years.
Julie will be missed dearly by many family and friends, especially her dear friend of 25 years, Jan Wold, of Davenport, Iowa, and April Kaiser of Eldridge, Iowa.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Henry Boyles, of Lovell, grandparents Bulah and Nolan Waterman of Waterloo, Iowa, and grandson Gavin Fogle of Davenport, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, Art; mother Alona Boyles of Davenport, Iowa; daughters Brandy Meade (Tim Strasser) of Girard, Kansas, Janel (Nathaniel) Cauwels of Bettendorf, Iowa, Rochelle (Craig) Mosley of Davenport and Sam (Carlos) Hernandez of Byron; sister Sandra (Reginald) Pelletier and brother Lonnie (Denise) Boyles, both of Davenport; her adored 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews, along with a host of other devoted family members and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A service for friends and neighbors will be held Friday, Aug. 9, at 6 p.m. in the backyard at 851 Shoshone Avenue in Lovell.
