July programs announced at Bighorn Canyon rec area
The staff at the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area has announced programs for July in the park. Programs that can be enjoyed on the South District of the park near Lovell are:
Ranch tours –
July 11 and July 19 – Join MSU intern Karson Mollett for a tour of the Ewing-Snell Ranch. Tours will start at 10 a.m. and go until 2 p.m.
Ranger Programs
July 12 – Join MSU intern Emily Clark on a guided walk at Sullivan’s Knob trail. Walk will start at 10 a.m. Learn more about the wildlife, birds and plants along the trail.
July 18 – Join MSU intern Adi Gamble at the Bighorn Canyon Visitor Center at 2 p.m. to learn about the Pryor Mountain Wild Horses.
Geology
Look for pop-up geology programs at Devil Canyon by VIP geologist Greg Jones throughout the summer.
Artist In Residence
Visitors are once again able to enjoy AIR Mike Hansen’s outdoor collection in the Bighorn Canyon Visitor Center. The painting exhibit will remain in the gallery through the summer.
