Kasper Roy Yowell

Kasper Roy Yowell unexpectedly passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 17, 2023, at home. Kasper was born December 2, 1986, in Yuma, Arizona.
Kasper had Down Syndrome. When he was 6 months old, he started at the Rainbow Center to help him develop. For his second birthday his little brother, Kelvin, arrived. Later he went to three different schools for kindergarten as his family moved to Nebraska briefly, then Utah and Connecticut for almost three years.
In December 1996, he was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He actively participated until the latter years.
In 1997, the family moved to Henderson, Nevada, for six years. Needless to say, he attended several different schools over the years. The family then moved back to Utah the summer of 2003. While there he ended his last years of school at Orem High.
In 2005, Kasper was voted prom king. He was also involved in Special Olympics and Best Buds. He had many friends at school. He was always friendly. In 2008, he moved with his family to Lovell, where he lived for the rest of his life.
He enjoyed going to Better Body Fitness to work out and visit until they closed. Then he had an elliptical exercise machine, which he used most every day while watching movies at home. He enjoyed going out to eat with family, especially pizza, Subway, Chinese, Mexican and ice cream. He often attended the Hyart Theatre with his dad and family.  We will miss him.
Kasper was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas A. Yowell, Carol G. (Howe) Yowell and Francis E. and Mary E. (Diener) Fox; sister Athena Tandi Yowell; and nephew Elijah Yowell.  
Kasper is survived by his parents, William and Veronica (Fox) Yowell; brothers Kelvin, Kaleb and Skyler Yowell; one nephew; aunts and uncles Sarah and Kent Spencer, Wendy and Bret Fowler, Diana LeDonne, Wesley and Nancy Yowell, Rogene and Albert Oyler and Katherine and Trent Lierman; and 25 cousins.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m. at the Lovell LDS Stake Center.
