Letter to the Editor: Appreciating independent local newspapers
Dear Editor,
I both appreciate and agree with your recent editorial titled “Seizing Our Rights as Citizens.”
Northern Wyoming is fortunate. It still has small local newspapers. It’s fortunate to have editors -- and readers -- concerned enough with the mess America has voted itself into to voice their outcry and opinions. The independent local newspaper is one of the last institutions in this country not controlled by corporations or billionaires. But they are rapidly vanishing. Swallowed by Google and the Internet.
Each of us needs to support our local paper in any way we can.
