Letter to the Editor: Our yesterdays and our tomorrows

Dear Editor,

All these families settled this land

Broke the ground with their hands

Built their farms, raised their kids in these small towns

Taught them all right from wrong

The love of family and the Lord

Respect your neighbor and help your fellow man

It’s where old glory lines the streets you stand up for what you believe

You don’t back down

And you mean what you say

We hunt and fish and we love our guns

We don’t hide and we don’t run

We protect our family our children and our homes

Where our yesterdays and tomorrows

Can’t be bought sold or borrowed

It’s how we live how we believe in God our country and family

Our yesterdays and our tomorrow’s

There’s rodeos and county fairs

High school football around here

And lots of fireworks on the Fourth of July

There’s pickup trucks, cowboys and dogs, family and friends; they are strong

It’s been that way and it’s how it will always be

We don’t follow the latest fads we cherish all that we have

We like things just the way they are

We stick together when times get tough

You will know it when we’ve had enough

We are strong and proud Americans

Where your yesterdays and our tomorrows can’t be bought, sold or borrowed, it’s how we live how we believe in God, our country and family

Our yesterdays and our tomorrows

Our yesterdays and our tomorrows
