Letter to the Editor: Rep. Hageman came to lecture, not to listen

Dear Editor:

I was disappointed in the town hall meeting set up by Wyoming’s congressional representative, Harriet Hageman, last week.

Rep. Hageman showed little interest in Wyoming issues and did not try to hear what her constituency on either side had to say. She came to lecture, apparently, and it was disrespectful to people who took time from their busy lives to show up.

The noise between friends and neighbors with different opinions could have been avoided had she listened. That’s what the crowd was begging for.

I’ve been a registered Republican all my life, and I’m disgusted by the divisiveness being encouraged by Wyoming’s congressional delegation and Big Horn County elected officials.
