Letter to the Editor: Turn to God, turn to peace

Dear Editor: 

The USA bombed on Sunday morning, June 22, 2025, making another hellish desolation after multiple bombardments of Tomahawk missiles at Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ school in Minab, Iran. What a demoniac appetite for killing humans. It’s evil if the USA continues to demolish the entire civilization of Iran with the most heinous, inhuman war strategy as setting up a death trap of starvation for Palestinians after Iraq. We are living in an increasingly abominable world of warmongers and a selfish political game. I can’t help noting both President Trump’s and former President Nixon’s visits to China were lavished all over by the flashy world news.

Isn’t it time we sign up for a peace corps of our Father God? He shall empower us with love of God for the peace and restoration of our disfiguring, dismembering human society. The indescribably bottomless gate of hell on earth, Zorro Ranch, needs to be turned up. Some mimic lions roaring, but are actually savage dogs. Who could ever mock God?

I refuse to follow anyone who shouts, “Retribution! Retribution!” It is written in Romans 12:19, “‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay,’ saith the Lord.”

I am not a Catholic, but rather welcome Pope Leo XIV. What kind of country are we making here? One of the better qualified peacemakers has been totally shut off from this country called the USA.
