Little League action in full swing

The Big Horn County Little League teams’ season are well underway at the Northeast Little League Baseball Complex in Lovell.

The Majors and Minors have been competing for several weeks now, and coach pitch teams begin play tonight (Thursday) starting at 5:30 and 7 p.m.

In the Majors League, the Yankees and the Red Sox are the two teams fighting for the top spot.

Currently, the Yankees hold a better record with five wins and only two losses, while the Red Sox are sitting at three wins and three losses.

This afternoon (Thursday), the Yankees will square off against a team from Powell at 5:30 p.m. before the Red Sox face the visitors from Powell at 7 p.m.

The two teams will then turn around and play one another on Friday at 5:30 p.m. for the fourth time this year.

In the Minors League, the standings remain competitive, with the game scores coming down to the wire in the majority of the games.

The three teams in the division consist of the Rangers, Dodgers and Diamondbacks.

The Rangers (3-1) and Diamondbacks (3-2) played on Wednesday evening, and game scores were not available at press time.

On Friday, the Dodgers (2-3) will face the Diamondbacks, with the first pitch set to be thrown at 5:30 p.m.

Coach pitch teams will see their first action of the season this afternoon (Thursday) on the Minors field.

The Braves will have a doubleheader to start the season, first against the Athletics at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Marlins at 7 p.m.
