Little League All-Stars take on Laramie at State

After winning four of five games and placing second at the district tournament in Pinedale, the Lovell Little League All-Stars will begin play at the State Major Tournament in Torrington tonight (Thursday) at 5 p.m.

Lovell will open up against East District champion Laramie at 5 p.m. Thursday, and if the Mustangs win, they will play the winner of the Cody-Douglas game Friday at 5 p.m. If the Mustangs fall to Laramie, they will meet the Cody-Douglas loser in an elimination game at noon on Friday.

The winner of that elimination game will meet the second-round loser Saturday at 2 p.m., with the winner playing for the championship Sunday at 1 p.m. with a possible second championship game to follow if the first game loser was undefeated until that point.

The team was honored by the Lovell Mustangs American Legion “A” team between games in Cowley last Wednesday, July 15.
