The Big Horn County Little League will be having their opening ceremonies on Friday, May 9, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Northeast Little League Baseball Complex.

All divisions, T-ball through Majors, and their families are invited to attend.

The teams will be introduced and take their places on the field. After that will be the singing of the National Anthem and the ceremonial first pitch by Natalee Smith in honor of her late husband Sam Smith, an avid supporter of Little League baseball.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, there will be games beginning at 6 p.m. on both fields.

For the Minors, the Diamondbacks will take on the Dodgers. On the Majors field, the Yankees face the Red Sox.

“We are excited for the start of the Little League baseball season,” BHCLL board president Dustin Miller said. “We have 125 players participating from ages 4-12 from Lovell, Cowley, Byron, Deaver and Frannie. The season will go through late June with intra-league games as well as games against teams from Powell, Greybull, Otto, Cody and Thermopolis.”
