LMS Bulldog runners show improvement at Worland meet
Last week on Friday, Sept. 26, the middle school Bulldog cross country team competed at the Worland Invitational. The team showed a lot of improvement across the board, with Coach Joshua Sanders noting, “The runners were much faster and showed the growth they have experienced over their time in middle school and during the season.”
Boys results
The top three finishers on the boys side included James Sanders in the lead finishing 29th with a time of 13:37. Dagan Reuter came next, finishing in 43rd with a time of 14:22. The coaches were very proud of his performance. Sanders said Reuter had been upset with his times in previous meets, so over the last two weeks he pushed himself through practices, dedicated to improving his time. At the Worland meet, his hard work paid off and showed as he ran his fastest ever meet.
The team’s third fastest runner was Jackson Sanders, who came in 49th with a time of 14:29.
Spencer Walker finished in 58th with a time of 14:55, and Gabriel Patina came in 83rd with the time of 16:55. Coach Sanders was very proud of Patina and his effort to improve his time as well as Walker for starting the race with greater speed than in previous meets.
Brock Butler finished 60th with a time of 14:57, Jamen Crosby finished 61st with a time of 15:06 and Hayden Harshman was 67th in 15:35.
Girls results
On the girls side the top three finishers were Treleah Two Two, who finished in eighth place with a time of 13:33, Macee Winterholler, who finished 32nd with a time of 14:47, and Kashlyn Collins in 35th with a time of 15:23.
Adalyn Waltjen came in 47th with a time of 15:54, Kyndee Anderson came in 68th with a time of 16:59, Rylee Mayes finished 74th with a time of 17:17, Wyatt Hendershot finished 79th with a time of 17:39 and Evalina Garcia came in 84th in 18:16.
The Bulldogs will run in Thermopolis Friday at 10 a.m., then conclude the season at the conference meet in Powell on October 9.
