The Lovell Middle School Bulldogs did well at the Bobcat Invitational in Thermopolis on Thursday, with athletes running hard to get top times.

“The course has a really big hill in the middle of it, but that didn’t seem to bother the kids because most of them set a season record time,” head coach Joshua Sanders said. “They just focused on leaning forward up the hill and then opening up their stride when they came down. We’re in a good spot heading into our conference meet, because most of the kids have improved from the first meet by two to three minutes.

“Isaac Sanders ran really well. Thermopolis was by far his best meet of the season. He always seems to be a positive runner. The same is true for Jackson Sanders and Macee Winterholler. They are always excited for a race and embrace the challenge of pushing themselves. A lot of kids did well, but I think Chloe Asay showed she is a tough runner.”
