Heading to Powell for their last meet of the season Thursday, the LMS Bulldogs finished strong at the conference meet.

Oscar Garcia placed sixth in his last middle school race with a time of 12:19, while on the girls side Nellie Guccion placed 11th with a time of 13:42.

“We finished the season in a fantastic way,” head coach Joshua Sanders said, “with 80 percent of our kids setting personal records at the conference meet. Shout out to Oscar Garcia, who had a fantastic personal record that placed him sixth overall.

“A bunch of our kids ran aggressive and mean in that final race. I am going to miss our eighth graders, but I’m so happy to have them go on to high school because I think they’re ready. I’m excited for our seventh and sixth graders going into next year because they are a determined group of runners.”
