LMS track team opens season at Greybull Invite
After heading to Greybull on Friday to open the season, the Lovell Middle School track team returned home with an impressive array of victories, competing against numerous teams from the area.
Among the notable achievements, several boys stood out with remarkable performances. Eighth grader Anthony Garcia took first in the 100-meter dash (13.49), first in the 200-meter dash (26.58) and first in long jump with a jump of 17-03, while seventh grader Zavier Heater placed first in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 35.58. Andy Entel placed first in the seventh-grade discus with a throw of 85-05, and the seventh-grade 4x100-meter relay team placed second with a time of 59.90.

Girls results
The eighth-grade Lady Mustangs dominated the competition, snagging multiple first-place finishes. These first place winners include Janelle Hessenthaler, finishing the 100-meter dash with a time of 15.21, Ali Walker first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 31.80 as well as first in the long jump with a jump of 13-11.50 and Caylee Herman first in the 400 meters with a time of 1:06.78 as well as first in the 800 meters with a time of 2:44.76. Addie Weber finished on top in the 1600 meters with a time of 6:54.30, and Avery Walker scored a win in the high jump with a jump of 4-6 as well as a win in triple jump, jumping 33-6.5. The team’s 800-meter sprint medley relay team placed first at 2:13.14.
Many of the seventh-grade ladies finished in first, as well, including Eliza Wagner in the 800 meter with a time of 3:01.03, Myles May with a 20.37 in the 100-meter hurdles and 36.04 in the 200-meter hurdles, Rubie Weber in the long jump with a 12-1 jump and Morgan Harshman in the discus and shot put, throwing the discus 76-10 and the shot 27-5.75. The 800-meter sprint relay team placed first in 2:18.53.
