The 52nd annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl All-Star football game is set for Saturday, June 14, at Natrona County High School’s Cheney Alumni Field in Casper.

Lovell High School head football coach Nicc Crosby will lead the North team. Bulldog assistant coach AJ Montanez will also be joining Crosby’s staff, along with Rocky Mountain High School head coach Jessee Wilson and Burlington HS coach Trent Aagard.

On the North roster are LHS football standouts Davin Crosby and Braxton Felkins.

The North team leads the series 27-20-3 and claimed a 45-7 victory in last year’s matchup.

Coach Crosby said that the teams will check in on Sunday, June 8, and have two-a-day practices Monday through Friday. There will be various team activities scattered throughout the week like a movie night, axe throwing and the like. On Friday night, there will be a formal banquet to honor all the players and coaches.

The Wyoming Shrine Bowl serves as a showcase for the state’s top high school football players and functions as a fundraiser for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Salt Lake City. A major highlight of the week is when Shriners patients visit Casper and are split into groups to interact with members of both teams and share their stories.

On Saturday, the player introductions will begin at 1 p.m. with kickoff set for 2 p.m.

“A lot of preparation has gone into this process,” Crosby said. “I hope the players are ready, and we just look forward to doing something we all love to do for a great cause.”
