Lovell golfers looking to make progress
The Lovell High School boys and girls golf teams competed in a pair of tournaments this spring. The Bulldogs, with Rocky Mountain athletes also on the squad, competed in Worland April 4 and golfed in Powell last Friday, April 25.
For the Lady Bulldogs, sophomore Kenley Wilson finished in the top 10 in the Powell tournament, and according to head coach Dane Robertson, Wilson has improved on her score.
“Kenley played well in Powell and bettered her score from Worland by quite a few strokes,” Robertson said. “She shot a 97 and placed in the top 10, which was awesome to see for her.”

Robertson said Rocky Mountain freshman Jaxon Hayes also shot a 97 and broke 100 for his new personal best in Powell.
“He has a repeatable swing and will do well as we progress,” Robertson said. “He is just a freshman and is giving himself a solid foundation to build on from here. I look forward to seeing our scores drop even further and give us some confidence as we enter the second half of our spring season.”
The Lovell golfers will compete in Cody this Friday, May 2.
