Lovell Police Mountain bike stolen from Jersey Avenue yard
The Lovell Police Department received the following calls for the week of September 9-15:
September 9: 6:27 p.m. – An individual called to report that a yellow 18-speed mountain bike with a rack on the back had been stolen from a yard on Jersey Avenue within the last couple of hours. An officer canvassed the area but could not locate the bike. The school resource officer was given a description of the bike, as well, and the case is under investigation.
September 10: 5:17 p.m. -- An officer stopped to check out a vehicle on Road 9 with hazard lights flashing. The driver advised that they had help on the way.
6:47 p.m. – A REDDI report came in about a white Ford crew cab pickup driving down the middle of Main Street, almost running into the back of a car in front of it. The pickup was last seen driving north on Idaho. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
September 13: 12:33 p.m. -- A caller reported being notified by a credit protection app that the caller’s social security number had been accessed on the black market. The caller froze accounts, and the IRS informed the party that they should report the incident to local law enforcement.
September 14: 10:29 a.m. -- A caller reported that her ex-boyfriend had made threats in the past about wrecking her vehicle and had slept overnight on her trampoline. An officer responded to the scene and the boyfriend was no longer there. Contacted by phone, the boyfriend said there was a civil issue regarding money allegedly owed to him. He returned to the residence to pick up his dog, then left.
September 15: 6:46 p.m. – An officer observed two diesel pickups simultaneously accelerating and traveling up to 56 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone on Main Street in Lovell. One vehicle turned south on Nevada and was stopped. The driver was issued a citation for speeding and careless driving. The other driver was identified, and an officer drove to Byron to serve the same two citations.
Note: The above calls were received by the Lovell Police Dept. Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney.
