Lovell woman facing multiple charges stemming from June domestic incident

A 21-year-old Lovell woman has pleaded not guilty to three charges that stem from a domestic dispute with her mother in early June.

Liana Elise Welde, 21, of Lovell is facing charges of aggravated assault and battery, a felony, along with reckless endangerment and domestic assault, both misdemeanors. The charges followed her arrest in early June at their home east of Lovell.

Judge Bobbi Overfield told Welde during Tuesday morning’s arraignment in the Fifth Judicial District Court of Big Horn County that she could face up to 11 1/2 years of incarceration and/or fines up to $11,750 if convicted on all three counts and ordered serve the maximum sentences.

The felony aggravated assault and battery charge and the misdemeanor domestic assault charge are both tied to incidents that allegedly occurred June 2, 2025, with Melody Welde listed as the victim of both in court documents.

The reckless endangerment charge alleges that Welde placed another in danger of death or injury between the dates of June 1, 2024, and Nov. 30, 2024.
