Minors began state tournament run on Wednesday
The Big Horn County Little League Minors started their run at a state title on Wednesday afternoon in their first-round match of the state tournament against Gillette.
The tournament is being held in Lovell at the Northeast Little League Baseball Complex throughout the remainder of the weekend, and results will be printed in next week’s edition of the Lovell Chronicle.
“As a team, we’ve been focusing on fielding, backing up each other and keeping our throws accurate,” coach Stephen Anderson said. “The kids are excited for the tournament and have been working really hard.”
Anderson said that, regardless of the outcome, the team should be extremely proud of what they have accomplished to get to this point.
“It has been an honor to help coach this group and be a part of this experience,” he said. “We encourage the community to attend and support our team in our post-season efforts.”
Updated brackets can be found on the Big Horn County Little League Facebook page throughout the tournament.
